Gary was the long-time leader of Digital Marketing for AutoNation, starting in 2000, where he is largely recognized as a Digital Pioneer. From 2006 to 2011, he became the Senior Vice President of Marketing for the retailer. At AutoNation, he oversaw the growth of AutoUSA, the formation of AutoNationDirect, and the launch of industry-leading loyalty & retention effort. He led the reduction of over $100M in annual marketing expenses, all while growing market share. Throughout his 35+ years in the automotive industry, he has advised many leading automotive marketers including TrueCar, Experian, LotLinx, Autoweb/AutobyTel, AutoNation, Vast/CarStory, Showroom Logic, and many others.
In his role at Outsell, he helps guide the product innovation and development process, along with other strategic growth initiatives.
